That’ll be us then! Cherry Call is the service that gives you crazy savings on you international phone calls…
Dear Penny-Pinching Pal!
First, the good news…
That’ll be us, then! Cherry Call is the service that gives you crazy savings on your international phone calls. You can use Cherry Call from your landline, your mobile, even public phone boxes or phones where international calls are barred. You don’t need a special handset or a computer, you just use your regular phone or mobile.
For a single measly penny a minute you can talk to USA, Canada, Southern Ireland, Moscow, Argentina (plus mobiles in Hong Kong). For a less-than bankrupting 1.5p a minute you can call China, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, France, Spain, Italy, and Norway.
This month’s new price reductions include Honduras going down a penny from 8p a min to 7p a min (hey, every little helps, as a well known supermarket keeps on telling us) …
… and calls to Papua New Guinea show a much tastier reduction…down from 40p to 30p a minute. (What do you mean you don’t know anyone in Papua New Guinea? Jeeeez, there’s no pleasing some people!)
Here’s a quick reminder what you have to do:
- You just visit Cherry-Call.co.uk to find the special Cherry Call number to ring for the country you want to call. (Different countries have different Cherry Call numbers).
- Make a note of this number, then use it whenever you want to make a cheap international call.
- When you call you’ll hear a nice polite lady saying “Thank you for using Cherry Call. Please enter the number you wish to dial”
- Now just dial your full international number in the normal way, including the international dialling code that begins zero zero.
- Start saving.
For instance… to Cherry Call a number in Canada you just dial 0843 715 4444 and wait for the voice to prompt you to dial the Canadian number in the normal way. The call will appear on your bill in the normal way, but the number dialled will dhow as 0843 715 4444 and the cost will be a lot less than you’d normally pay…just a penny a minute, all day every day.
Now the bad…
There is an itsy bitsy teeny weeny bit of bad news this month though: we’re sorry to report that the government of Pakistan has just levied an extra charge on all international calls coming into the country. This means if you’re using Cherry to call Pakistan, you’ll have to pay 6p a minute.
Needless to say, here at Cherry Towers we’re trying to find a way to bring calls to Pakistan back down to their previous, even cheaper, level.
…and finally, the downright ugly
And by that, what else could we have in mind but BT’s overseas call charges! How on earth do they get away with it? We find it astonishing that anyone in their right minds would call overseas with BT when you can save so much, so easily with Cherry Call.
Remember, we’re able to bring you stupendous savings compared with BT because we divert your call via our own internet network. This means we don’t have to pay to use BT’s expensive international phone lines and therefore we can pass on the massive savings to you.
Cue familiar but annoying flute music…
There’s no sign-up or registration process and no pins or passwords to remember. Just make a note of the Cherry Call number for the country you want to call and use it whenever you make a call, from a landline, a phone box or a mobile.
Have a fantastic summer and cheers from everyone here at Cherry Towers.
