World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day is a fantastic global event which aims to raise awareness and educate the general public about this debilitating and, sadly, often deadly disease. Backed by the World Cancer Research Fund International, #NoHairSelfie, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck, Amgen and Roche, this awesome campaign unites the world in spreading awareness, knowledge, discoveries and love.

Established by the Paris Charter during the World Summit Against Cancer for the New Millennium in Paris on 4th February 2000, it was decided that 4th February would become World Cancer Day; a global campaign to eradicate cancer through cure and prevention.

Let’s stand together and show our support

Each year, cancer kills a staggering 8.2 million people worldwide and whilst considerable researched has been carried out in order to reduce these numbers, the fight to remove the threat of cancer continues. Join the worldwide fight against cancer on World Cancer Day by sending compassion, love and any useful information, such as self-checking tips and personal experiences with family, friends and even a worldwide audience through social media; after all, prevention and is always better than cure.

So why not show your support and get involved with one (or all!) of the many aspects of the World Cancer Day campaign; remember to spread the word to all of your friends and family, whether home or abroad.
