With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of 4 things that you absolutely must do whilst in Dublin!Things To Do In Dublin

  1. Go back in time at the Porterhouse – Dublin’s oldest microbrewery pub, the Porterhouse only pours their own label beers, and with good reason – they’re delicious! If you’re looking for traditional home-cooked Irish food, served up with a pint that’s only travelled a matter of feet, the Porterhouse isn’t to be missed!
  1. Sip a pint of the black stuff – No trip to Dublin would be complete without tasting a fresh local pint of Guinness! This wonderful city is home to the Guinness Storehouse, a 7 storey experience of all that is Guinness, from how it’s created right through to food that matches its deep and intense flavours perfectly. There’s even a 360º viewing platform at the top where you can sip the perfect pint with a perfect view of the city.
  1. King of the castle – We all love a castle, and Dublin castle certainly doesn’t disappoint. Building started on this site in 1204 and much of the castle was completed by 1230, serving as a tactical defence to safeguard the city against attack. These days it’s home to government institutions, although it is also open to the public to experience the splendour of this historic building.
  1. Visit the inmates – Okay, so there aren’t any inmates anymore, but Kilmainham Gaol is one of Europe’s largest unoccupied gaols! Opened in 1796, Kilmainham’s last prisoner left in 1924 and the eery space has stood empty ever since. With inmates’ crimes ranging from stealing food right through to murder, the prison walls certainly have a few stories to tell!Things To Do in Dublin
